We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join Alsco Uniforms at our Ellerslie Support Office. In this generalist role, you’ll work with leaders across our branches providing trusted advice, managing employment relations matters, driving people initiatives, and building team capabilities.

About the Role
You’ll be a key advisor to leaders and employees, supporting a workplace that is fair, compliant, and focused on getting the best outcomes for our people and our customers.
You’ll work across a wide range of P&C activities including:
- Providing specialist employment relations advice
- Supporting organisational change, workforce planning, engagement, onboarding and retention initiatives across our national branches
- Partnering with Managers to build capability in performance, development, and people leadership
- Ensuring policies, processes and people systems are practical, compliant, and continuously improving
- Providing practical HR administration support.
This is a role where your influence matters. You’ll be working alongside leaders in a busy service and production environment, helping them navigate people challenges, lift capability, and deliver strong outcomes for their teams.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who brings confidence, credibility, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to partnering.
You will ideally have:
- 2 years+ Experience in a People & Culture Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Advanced employment relations capability, including practical experience supporting disciplinary, performance, investigation, and union-related matters
- Solid understanding of New Zealand employment legislation & HR best practice
- Ability to coach, influence and build strong relationships at all levels as well as remotely.
- Strong time management skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site operational environment, this is a high-volume role.
- A flexible, business-focused approach
- High levels of maturity, integrity & professionalism
- Experience in operational, service, manufacturing, logistics, or unionised environments would be an advantage
- A good sense of humour and a positive, down-to-earth outlook
